Distribución potencial de la especie invasora Kalanchoe pinnata ¿Un ejemplo de expansión de nicho?
Abstract
The arrival of invasive species on native ecosystem can have important consequences on biodiversity. One of the aspects that require to be studied are niche requirements niche, specially if the niche is conserved during invasion. This knowledge is important because it allows to make proper predictions of potential distribution. In this paper, the potential distribution models (SDM) of Kalanchoe pinnata was studied, at three levels: globally, regionally (America) and also at the native range (Madagascar). The results indicate differences between the global model projected in Madagascar and the regional (native) model projected from Madagascar Island, thus suggesting that the niche has changed during invasion to other regions.
